But why is the phone not upgradable because I can only see Android 7.1.1(Nougat).

Well said! I googled the phone before I even started checking the comments and the A8 of 2016 kept popping up.

Samsung usually uses the year to differentiate between its non-flagship models that are not serially named. The A8 falls under this category.

But for some reasons, bloggers often fail to add the year.

They only make slight upgrades on it. Even the Samsung galaxy A8+ has an upgrade on the display (6 inch to 5.6", 6GB ram to 4GB n battery of 3500mAh to 3000mAh.

I was so sure i had seen Samsung A8 months ago when i was researching Galaxy S8.

By the way....i just don't see the fuss about the S8 (best phone of last year) I bought it because of the hype.
