Check Point also gave deep insight regarding how the malicious game apps operate, it explains how “AdultSwim” (a given name to malware) initiates attacks with explicit pornographic ads, which pops up at every instance on your phone screen thereby tricking you to install its counterfeit security apps which it’ll then make them register for a premium service using their phone numbers. After a download, the app only had to wait for the user to unlock the device or restart it before sending information back to a command and control server, which then instigates the malicious activity.

Check Point also revealed about how the malicious app has been downloaded 3 – 7million times by its users, some of most popular apps which includes Five Nights Survival Craft, Mcqueen Car Racing Game, Addon Pixelmon for MCPE, CoolCraft PE, and Exploration Pro WorldCraft.
