As posted by a facebook user @Ikechukwu Ezeanyanwu

"Finland has the most stable economy in world today. There are less than 20 churches in Finland.

Switzerland has the second most stable economy in the world. Switzerland has less than 30 churches.

Denmark is the third most stable economy in the world. Denmark has about 23 churches in it.

These are countries considered largely atheist in nature, yet so blessed.

Come to Owerri town, SE Nigeria, from MCC junction to Toronto junction, there are 36 churches. That stretch of about 5 km harbours 36 churches, more churches than the entire Switzerland.

Between Owerri and Mgbidi l counted 97 churches and gave up. According to CAC, Nigeria has over 23,000 registered churches.

We have more churches than schools and hospitals combined. More pastors than doctors and teachers combined. Everyone is born again. All are covered in the blood of Jesus. All are filled with the Holy Spirit.

Yet none of those claims reflects in the expected moral elevation of society. We are still one of the greediest, laziest, corrupt, deceitful, hypocritical and hateful set of beings on the planet today, with all our Christ and Holy spirit.

Our people need to draw the line between religiosity and spirituality."
CAN is a confused organization who doesn't know anything. I call them Noise makers.
Imagine CAN telling us that Muslim want to islamize Nigeria just because they are giving free interest loan, free education. Why we the Christian can't afford their schools. Pls help me tell CAN to Christianize Nigeria by opening interest free bank, free education, reduction of their university fee to 20,000 per semester, Tell CAN to start free distribution of Bible all over Nigerian cities and villages, Tell CAN to abolish paying money before seen G.O, Tell CAN to form and register a political party as it is done In Germany.

Ask CAN where were they when Muslim started conducting white wedding, Ask CAN were they sleeping When Muslim started conducting Night vigils every Friday more than 10yrs ago, opened up camp ground for their crusade. Ask CAN where were they when their sons and daughters in various offices are being used to bring anti Christian policy, was it not a christian who was used to sack all G. Os recently, was it not a Christian who chaired the merger of CRK/civil education?.Pls tell CAN to Christianize Nigeria!!

Tell them to give Nigerians a better LIFE. Tell CAN four of their Pentecostal churches alone can establish MEGA BANK, No, they won't do that, their priorities are Competition of Jet acquisition , mega Cathedral, palatial domain. Ask CAN what is preventing them from establishing industries, Farm to Christianize West Africa.
Tell CAN to start Formulating a new strategy to Christianize Africa.
Tell CAN to stop talking and doing the same things the OLD way.
Enough of Traditions, we need a RADICAL Change. Blessed be the LORD JESUS CHRIST. May His suffering on the Cross Never be in vain over Nigeria Christian.

Our Number one problem in this country is Buhari ! Anything else can take the second position, Moreover, there are countries doing fine even with high rate of religion, the countries you mentioned enjoy near 100% good governance, how many of our youths are ''formally'' educated? not just some crappy certificate, why won't they console themselves eating, tearing and drinking the flesh and blood of Jesus.

it's the opinion of the poster. I personally believe that Nigeria's major problem is institutional failure.
In a country with strong institutions, things will generally work well, religion notwithstanding.

The administrations of Nigeria is in the hands of Muslims from the northern part of Nigeria. Christianity suffers intimidations and humiliations regularly.
Finland with less than twenty churches with the most successful and stable economy are mainly atheists with population of 5.5millon. Statistically Finland records inhabitants figure of 17 people in every one kilometer making multiple churches impossible even if they want more.
Christian Association of Nigeria cannot function well under the country with Islamic majority; in that regard the are surviving.
Regarding expensive schools and flamboyant life style you capitalized only on Pentecostal churches. There are other domination like Catholics whom their schools are relatively cheap with commendable moral standards and enviable academic results.
Catholics maintains moderations in every aspects of living. Recently pope Francis auctioned a Ferrari car gift and channelled the cash realized to charity unlike other church leaders who buys private jets and expensive car with church funds imposed levies.

Those countries you mentioned have stable economy because they have good government. Nigeria on the other has bad leaders right from when she got independence. CAN can't regulate the number of churches spring forth because many churches are not under CAN. Yes there is islamization agent but it is in phases.

They have an effective government because the population itself(which the government is part of) is effective.A trait which is impeded by the sort of religiosity in presence.

Ours can't be effective because our moral values has depreciated. This has nothing to do with religion

The erosion of our moral values has everything to do with religion sir.

Not at all. Culture has a link with moral values but certainly not religion. You see many persons behaving well not because they are religious but because of the cultural values exhibited by such people.
