Foreign Minister Julie Bishop has intervened in a case of an Australian filmmaker who has was put into Cambodian jail with alleged accusation of spying.

According to the news source, James Ricketson was arrested last year after flying a drone above a political rally in Cambodia’s capital Phnom Penh.

The director could face 10 years in jail since he has been charged with espionage.
