In the philosophical sense. After Britain "granting" (lol) independence was it ever properly discussed on how the country could move forward separately? I mean actually and properly discussed without shouting matches and fists being thrown? Cause everyday there's a "Fulani herdsman this" or a "Fulani herdsman that" or "Yoruba dog this" or "Yoruba dog that", not to mention the many insults thrown at Igbo's. The initial and logical thing to do would be to open dialogue for secession, right? In a modern world this happens. For some reason it seems like anywhere on this forum people are quick to dismiss the idea.

Nigeria should be a place where each tribe governs itself but recognizes the blanket authority of the Federal Government. Self-Governing itself includes the management of it's natural resources. For some reason this becomes a problem when there are people in the Federal government that are not necessarily from your ethnic group taking profits from your ethnic groups natural resources. The simple solution would be to have representation in the Federal government, but what if our representation sucks? Is incompetent? Is bribed?

It would be interesting to see a serious discussion take place. It's peculiar that people are comfortable with imperialists defining their borders.

As educated as we are, we should be able to solve a problem like this
