The teen gunman who shot 17 people at a Florida high school on Wednesday was still dressed in his hospital uniform when he left the Broward County Sheriff's Office early Thursday morning, after a night of questioning.

Nikolas Cruz, 19, was treated for 'labored breathing' on Wednesday after he was caught with several magazines on him about a mile away from the school.

He was later discharged and spent several hours being questioned by authorities.

This morning, he was transferred to the county jail where he will wait until his first court hearing scheduled for 2pm.

He is set to be arraigned on 17 counts of premeditated murder charges that in Florida, could result in the death penalty if he is convicted.

Details are starting to emerge about the shooter, whorecently was orphaned, stopped getting mental health treatment about a year ago and owned his own AR-15 rifle.
