Awoniyi Nets 7th League Goal In Mouscron Defeat

Nigerian striker Taiwo Awoniyi, who is on loan from Liverpool, was on target for Mouscron who lost 5-3 away to Anderlecht in the Belgian Jupiler on Sunday.

Awoniyi scored in the 70th minute to make it 4-1 for Mouscron.

The goal was Awoniyi’s seventh in 26 league appearances for Mouscron so far this season.

Mouscron are 13th on 30 points in the 16-club league table.

In the Spanish LaLiga, Brown Ideye featured for struggling Malaga whose poor run continued as they lost 2-1 away to Athletic Bilbao.

While Ideye played for 90 minutes, Isaac Success was an unused substitute.

It was Malala’s fourth straight league defeat which leaves them bottom on 13 points, seven points away from safety in the league table.

And in the Danish first division, Nigerian midfielder Frank Onyeka was sent off for Midtjylland who still went on to beat Hobro 2-1.

The 20-year-old midfielder was sent off after receiving his second yellow card in the 62nd minute.

Onyeka had scored in his last two league games for Midtjylland.
