A 55-year-old house manager, Abdullahi Sani, has been arrested by the police in Katsina for allegedly raping his neighbour’s three-year-old daughter to death.

Sani, last October, allegedly lured the victim into a nearby uncompleted building, closed her mouth and raped her.

The victim reportedly died while being raped.

The case was reported to the police by the victim’s father, Ibrahim Abdullahi, who resides in the same house as the suspect.

Sani was arraigned before a Magistrates’ court on Thursday.

He was remanded in the prison custody pending when his case would come up for mention before the court on April 8, 2018.
