so sorry, just seeing this. for 6 meat pies, I used 500g flour that is 2 cups; a cup is 250g. Then 250g margarine. for the margarine/butter, the measurement is on the pack.

Is this normal Nigerian milk cup ?

This is what it looks like when done. Those lines/creases on the surfaces helps you know that you got your crust texture right.

Enjoy with your favorite cola or malt drink. This is the closest to Malta Guinness (my favorite) that I could find here.

My mum is from Owerri and she can cook up a storm, just like u.

Had all dat and almost got fat, before living home. In fact na speed, i use move out back then to uni and never returned, i do visit though. grin

My sis-in-law likes hers more brown and crisp. So I let her batch stay a few minutes longer in the oven.

I hope you guys like and try this recipe and let me know how it goes. Feel free to ask me any questions about it

I prefer this too. Golden delicious. Probably stronger and won't break up easily like the first batch right?

You can use dumpling makers to make lots of meat pies in a commercial quantity. I have attached the picture of dumpling makers to this post. You can order them from China via Dhgate or Aliexpress

So cococandy I finally made mine few days back

It got a bit burnt, I kind off forgot it in the oven.

But it tasted nice and I knew I had a pass mark when my baby kept on asking for more saying momi its 'twit'.

Nice one

I don’t mind burnt meat pie actually because you can hardly taste the burn. It just makes for crispy edges.
