Meanwhile we're spraying dollars, flaunting designer stuff, washing hands with Moet, holding billion naira events (people must take nau , buying the latest rides and private jets. We have mansions everywhere and talk about our 'hard work' and "grass to grace" experience even when everyone knows the funds are from our common purse. Dipping hands into the cookie jar (stealing) is not corruption abi. Everything borders on personal interest.

We can't maintain our facilities and there's dearth of infrastructure. No light, no water, bad roads all over. We celebrate the commissioning of boreholes and are grateful for the little crumbs from the master's table.
Just living life like there's no purpose for existence!

Boko Haram, Fulani herdsmen and various militant groups are making life difficult for citizens. Farmers must surrender their land for grazing. Students are perpetually worried about the next abduction. Parents are praying for their salaries and pensions. Young school leavers are searching for jobs and can't be helped by their poor parents. And so on....

How can we ever improve significantly in science and technology when we spend our valuable time thinking of how to solve problems we could have avoided simply by being focused on development and having the interest and progress of all at hand?

Kudos to China. We can only dream about space travel for now.
