Massive Fraud Uncovered In 2017/2018 Kogi State Government Scholarship by MisterGrace: 10:26am On Mar 30, 2018
Investigation by The Town Crier NG revealed that out of 1226 students that emerged asĀ  the 2018 beneficiaries of the scholarship by Kogi state government, only 98 are from the Igala speaking part (Kogi East), while the Okuns (Kogi West) got less than 50 slots.

Further investigations revealed that a whooping 1000 are from central.
Figures from the list made available to us showed that okene and Adavi dominate the list.

Worst still, is the fact that over 10,000 Kogi state students paid 650 NGN to register for this scholarship.
From our calculation, that's a massive 6.5 Million NGN with no guarantee that they would benefit automatically from the scheme.

But why would anyone pay to register or even benefit from a scholarship scheme?

DO you know that Olamaboro, a whole local government in Kogi East got just 5 slots while Omala Local Government got just one?

What criteria did they use?

Recall that the previous governments not paid bursary allowances to all Kogi students who care to register.

More details soon.
