Right now, the government of South Africa has passed a motion to expropriate land without compensation from colonizers.
Right now, there is no water in Cape Town, the so-called “best-run municipality in SA” has no water. People are lining up to collect water at distribution points.

Right now, robbery, murder and rape is taking place in South Africa - 400 farm attacks in a year, 50 murder and rape cases a day.
Right now, car hijacking is taking place in the streets of Jo'burg and Cape Town - 70 car hijackings in a day.
Right now, 60% of South African students are dropping out of school before the matriculation stage.
Right now, somebody is busy painting a false picture of the “rainbow nation” to attract tourists.
Right now, 400,000 South African Boers are staying in slums, and stripped of their racist apartheid priviledges, thanks to BEE

Right now, white farmers are leaving South Africa in droves.
Right now, Johannesburg is in an advanced stage of deterioration.

Let me get this right….
Some people stole land from people, did not pay them for the lands and chased them away.

Now the court says the children of the land grabbers (lets say the land grabbers are dead and stuff) should give the lands to the children of the original owners because it is theirs and you expect people to say it is wrong?

The issue of crime in SA is one of hopelessness. Poor people without any other means to feed have turbed to crime due to decades of marginalization and silly economic policies. Crime needs to be fought, criminals need stiffer punishments. These criminals include those who stole lands belonging to blacks because it is theft and deserve punishment too.

As for the water situation in Cape Town, there is a drought. It is not the government's fault, what can they do? The only reservior left is all but dried up and de-sallination of sea water is out of reach.

Sorry for the initial misunderstanding... I now believe cos of the evidences that you presented.
But what could have caused all these, cos all we used to see on TV is the great South African nation.
I'm so sorry for those people

I laughed at the part where you said, "Someone is painting a false picture of the Rainbow Nation", as if people don't do their own research before embarking on a journey. They know! Despite our problems as a nation, we're still attracting overseas tourists the way shìt attracts flies. Numbers are increasing, not decreasing.

- if you had read the updates on land, you would have seen the ANC government has said expropriation without compensation most probably won't be in the initial proposed form. There isn't a need to amend the constitution.

- You say Johannesburg is in an advanced stage of decay. Why is there water in Johannesburg, Durban, Pretoria, Bloemfontein, East London etc etc...but not Cape Town? Tell us why? Surely "the advanced stage of decay" Johannesburg would have run out of water long long ago.

- How many farmers are there in SA, and how many of them are leaving for it to be considered "droves"? Tell us the numbers please. Has any South African gone to the shop in the last 20 years and found a basic food item missing from the shelf because " farmers are leaving in droves"? Yes or no?

- The 400 000 whites living in slums has been disproved ages ago.

- The vast majority of murders that happen in SA are between people that know each other. Usually getting drunk, and someone getting stabbed during an argument. Which speaks of social ills.

- The SA justice system needs a major overall. It has been found that many people who commit hijacking and robbery are out on bail for the very same crime.

Even if Johannesburg is "deteriorating", it's still aging gracefully compared to the dusty, haggard villages they call cities.

I know nairaland Is home to some of the dumbest threads on earth , this should be number one. The fact you think the government is responsible for the drought speaks volumes grin. Stick to your own shythole propaganda , village boy. South African news are clearly too complicated for dummies like yourself to comprehend.

I'm sure the idea for this thread came from seeing onyibos queuing for water grin. We know how you guys think they are precious metals that should be handled with care , foolish mentally enslaved village champion.

LMFAO, that's why they are aways pissed about Mzansi. If I lived in those villages, I would be grumpy as hell too, always creating silly threads to paint a picture that we are not alone in our misery as a country cheesy grin. The obsession with SA falling , is hilarious. One single bad thing , and they w'ank over it , as if it's the end of the world . Our dear country is too important cheesy, would we create such threads in any SA forum about their shythole or anything to discuss them and their problems? Hell no! We are too busy about our own national issues , not those of backward 6th world countries grin grin. Rubbish.

What the f do people like him know about tourism, and why it is booming down here ?. He thinks tourists are as dumb as the likes of him , this is what abject poverty does to one's mind. But when you live in a country no one wants to visit , except when they want to exploit and for cheap Labour, wouldn't you somehow find yourself with this much anger towards the ones that live in a better nation? It's bitterness, probably his visa was denied for the 5th time too.

LMAO!

Well it's not our fault we were born in such a beautiful country. I heard that some tourists even brought their own water last year, to ease the burden on the country. If that doesn't scream "Special", I don't know what else will. Those people could have decided to go to any country in the world to spend their hard-earned cash on, but they still chose us. It's not by force to visit after all. The God that is watching over this country is an awesome God. We always scale through, no matter what.

LMFAO, it seems to pain a lot of them , hence they are always lashing out at us grin. It's really not our fault that our ancestors chose one of the most , if not thee most beautiful part of Africa grin. Yes , I heard about them bringing water, how thoughtful . Now that says a lot , they overlook all the cities in the world with water and chose to come to this " bad, broken" nation cheesy. The fool is talking about decay in Jozi, not knowing that the decay is concentrated in places like hillbrow, yeoville and them. And guess who lives there? Foreign nationals, particularly Nigerians. Those places now look like the cities they left back home. Look at places like bank city / Marshalltown in the same central business district, that's where SAns live and you can clearly see the difference , very neat . You won't see people hanging clothes in Windows, or throwing trash over the window or balcony , that can only be seen in hillbrow and them , where 6th worlders are in majority. The pic you posted withe the BRT is part of the place I mentioned, btw.

LMAO.

That's true though, an area with too many Nigerians is always filthy. Same thing they did to Pretoria-west. Several flats the municipality had to close down because they turned them to junk status by throwing trash everywhere & shìtting out in the open for only God knows why. Example is Noureen Mansion. It was beautiful in the early 2000s, when only South Africans lived there. Slowly they left & it became a health hazard covered in faeces. Now they're spilling over to Danville. It's only a matter of time before Danville starts showing symptoms. Soon no leasing company will want them as tenants. Huurkor took the initiative a long time ago, the rest will follow suit I'm sure.

LMFAO, i wonder why they enjoy shytting outside , perhaps they miss home ? It's a strange behavior and totally disgusting. They were complaining of " xenophobia " when city property said they don't lease to Nigerian nationals a few years back. I'm glad city property stood their ground, look at all their properties in both jozi and PTA. Very neat and peaceful. Other leasing companies are following suit , hence their union is always visiting the human rights commission complaining that it's hard for Nigerians to rent properties. But what the hell do they expect, with their unwillingness to maintain and clean their environment?. Do they think people go into the property business, to have their investments destroyed by people who enjoy destroying and living in filth? . In parts of Johannesburg, if you lease your house to them , the residents will threaten to burn your house down, why ? Because your property will be dirty ; no trimming of trees , no painting the house, blocked toilets with filth spilling to the streets etc . Which in turn will affect the value of your neighbors' property. Who wants that? . I don't understand why they export their lack of maintaince culture and disregard for the environment to other nations. I love that mayor Mashaba doesn't give a damn about being labelled a xenophobe , he is driving them back to hillbrow, protecting the surrounding neighborhoods from their filth. Even in that hillbrow and yeoville, he is demolishing the buildings they have thrashed, the plan is to rebuild them and lease them to lower earning citizens and students. So I'm wondering which part of the city they will live in when he is done revamping these places ?. The time has come for them to learn to respect the environment they are allowed to live in , or go back to where filth is tolerated. Nonsense! .

LMFAO. Wow. I didn't know that City Property has joined the movement too. I thought it's only Huurkor. So far here in PTA, you'll find them in places owned by Naz Property. They're dirty as usual & Naz doesn't bother maintaining them because it's a waste of time & money trying to spruce up the places for people who won't keep them clean. I guess their village curse follows them everywhere, because everything they touch, turns to dust grin One of the many reasons people avoid the places where they live in large numbers. Mashaba is doing a great job. The only place left for them to live is the townships. You'll find some in Soshanguve already. If they start pooping outside in those places, we all know how it'll end & they'll blame Xenophobia instead of owning up. It's a waiting game.
