NeyofeedNigEnt: Please just use what the manufacturer recommends. Pay attention to any special marking required on the oil and the weight. Nigeria is on earth and manufacturers test their cars on different environments before releasing them, besides the job of the thermostat is to regulate engine temperature so the outside environment doesn't really matter. If it's my car I would use full synthetic 0W40 or 5W40 with Mercedes of MANN filter.
