Arsenal has been poor in defense but even worse in attack tonight, overhit crosses and lack of creativity cost them this match tonight, Arsenal had no wingers in the team instead rely on their full backs to create the width, the Arsenal's midfield was static and predictable which made Atletico's defensive work a lot easier. Atletico Madrid's keeper only had one real save to make, Oblak was not troubled in goal throughout the match. At the other end, Atletico created more and better chances and could have scored 2 or 3 more goals.
The tie was actually lost last week when Arsenal despite having an extra man for 80mins with more than two thirds of ball possession and shots on target could only muster a 1-1 at home.
