The news is a vital aspect of the media, it informs us of what is going on in the world politically, socially and economically. Or so we think! Most people refuse to question mainstream news, the same way most people assume that their government is always acting in the best interests of “the people”. Anyone who thinks otherwise and dares to challenge them is often labeled a ‘conspiracy theorist’ or ‘delusional’. Despite the fact that the media has a history of lying to us and propagating the aims of government, most people simply ignore the possibility of corruption in a so-called democracy. Furthermore, what I’m about to tell you is likely to come as a shock. Almost everything you’re being told about the situation in Syria is a lie.
On April 6, 2017, the Trump Administration announced that the US will be launching 59 missile strikes on Syria in response to the chemical attack in Idlib which they claimed was committed by Bashar al-Assad, the president of Syria. Despite what you’re being told by the mainstream media, it is very possible that Assad did not commit these chemical attacks. Not only did Trump fail to gather permission from congress, but there is also yet to be any proof connecting Assad to the sarin gas attack. Why would Assad give the USA a perfect excuse to intervene right after Trump decided getting him to step down was not his concern? Assad was already winning the war, so why would he would he needlessly kill civilians, giving the other countries the perfect opportunity to intervene?
It is not to say that these chemical attacks which are reported to have killed 70 civilians in Syria did not happen, but there is indeed a strong chance Assad was not responsible and Trump’s military action was irrational.
Former US representative Ron Paul also said he highly doubts Assad was responsible for this recent chemical attack , he calls it a ‘false flag’ and states that the chemical attacks were falsely blamed on Assad in order to force Donald Trump to change his policy on Syria (Trump initially said his main priority was to get rid of ISIS rather than deal with Assad).
In 2013, there was also a chemical attack in Ghouta, Syria, which was believed by the US to have been committed by Assad. As a result, Obama consulted congress as to whether the USA should interfere. Ultimately, the USA and Syria came to an agreement that if Assad agreed to give up all his chemical weapons, the USA would avoid using missile strikes on Syria. Guess what? Just a few months later, a UN official Carla De Ponte told Swiss TV, that although the proof is not irrefutable, evidence suggests the sarin gas attack was not Assad but actually the US- backed “rebels”.
The Syriana Analysis also heavily condemned the allegations that Assad was responsible for this chemical attack whilst uncovering fabricated evidence, stating that it is far more plausible that the terrorist “rebel” groups such as the al-Qaeda affiliates “al-Nusra” are using chemical weapons. There have been numerous reports of terrorist groups, namely
ISIS, using chemical weapons which are absolutely documentable.
There are only two possibilities that these chemical attacks could ever be the work of “the Assad regime”. One being that he did not actually give up all his chemical weapons and secretly got a hold of them (though it was confirmed by the United Nations that he had given them over) and another being that he was somehow able to access the ingredients needed to make the sarin gas. Yet once again, why would he when his forces the SAA (Syrian Arab Army) were on the verge of winning the war in Syria?
Either way, the American government have now accused Russia and possibly Iran (Assad’s allies) of inciting the chemical attacks and it is being further investigated.
Of course, both the Russian government and the Assad regime have
denied any involvement in these chemical attacks, claiming it was the work of al-Nusra (who had also allegedly kidnapped 250 Syrian civilians from pro-government areas last week).
I’m sure as you’re reading this you’re thinking “Bullsh*t! Why would the media lie to us? What about all the videos?” Well, there’s no way of knowing exactly why, but it is known that the American government lied to us about Iraq and Libya, what makes us think they wouldn’t lie about Syria? After all, in December 2016 when the Syrian government had liberated areas of Aleppo, the mainstream media made it look like the opposite.
If you’re on Twitter you’ve probably seen a verified account claiming to be that of a Syrian refugee girl named Bana. Unfortunately, her account also happens to be a hoax.
These are not the only times the mainstream media has been found guilty of fabricating evidence in order to make it seem as if Assad is needlessly killing his own people. Ironically, many of them have used photos of Israeli war crimes in Gaza claiming they’re from Syria.
your biggest wonder is probably why the USA is obviously trying so hard to get President Assad to step down. As I said before, there is no way of knowing exactly why, but there is a theory with very compelling supporters which has heavily circulated around the internet as well as many independent news outlets. It is a well-known fact that there is indeed a Syrian Refugee Crisis. According to mainstream news sites such as CNN, Fox News and Al Jazeera, they’re escaping from the “oppressive Assad Regime”. This is far from the truth. Yes, Assad is not a perfect leader, he has used excessive force on protests which were violent in some cases. Many wanted reforms in the government, but the Syrian people are running from terrorism of the so-called ‘rebels’ who are backed by the USA, Saudi Arabia and Israel among others.
Bashar al-Assad succeeded his father in the presidency after winning the election in 2000 by the popular vote. In the most recent election during 2014, Assad won with an 88% vote against his competing candidate
Hassan al-Nouri of the liberal socialist party of Syria . (Many have attempted to de-legitimise the election stating that many opposition forces, namely the ‘Free Syrian Army’ (FSA) as well as ‘rebel-held areas’ who boycotted the election.) There were people who opposed him, mainly extremists such as the Arab Spring Protesters . However, Assad had plans to please the majority of Syrian people and democratize Syria so that it is similar to western countries (he studied in the UK). Syria is also one of the few Middle-Eastern countries with a secular government.
Due to the economy’s heavy reliance on fossil fuels, oil has become a vital part of the economy, thus explaining the USA’s imperialism in the middle east because the middle east is very rich in oil. This can be traced back to numerous regime changes and interventions in the Middle East directed by foreign countries including the United States, notably the removal of PM Mohammed Mossadegh of Iran in 1953. Mossadegh brought immense hope for secular democracy in the middle east. But he was overthrown as a result of a plot by the CIA. Why? Because he wanted the countries that Iran dealt oil with to pay much more for the oil. It may sound far-fetched but even the CIA admitted to it.
Robert F. Kennedy Jr wrote an article explaining his take on the reasons for the Syrian conflict titled ‘Another Pipeline War’ . It is a complicated matter but here’s a summary:

Our war against Bashar Assad did not begin with the peaceful civil protests of the Arab Spring in 2011. Instead it began in 2000 when Qatar proposed to construct a $10 billion, 1,500km pipeline through Saudi Arabia, Jordan, Syria and Turkey.

Assad further enraged the Gulf’s Sunni monarchs by endorsing a Russian approved “Islamic pipeline” running from Iran’s side of the gas field through Syria and to the ports of Lebanon. The Islamic pipeline would make Shia Iran instead of Sunni Qatar, the principal supplier to the European energy market and dramatically increase Tehran’s influence in the Mid-East and the world. Israel also was understandably determined to derail the Islamic pipeline which would enrich Iran and Syria and presumably strengthen their proxies, Hezbollah and Hamas.
In 2011, the U.S. joined France, Qatar, Saudi Arabia, Turkey and England to form the “Friends of Syria Coalition,” which formally demanded the removal of Assad. The CIA provided $6 million to Barada, a British T.V. channel, to produce pieces entreating Assad’s ouster. Saudi intelligence documents, published by WikiLeaks, show that by 2012, Turkey, Qatar and Saudi Arabia were arming, training and funding radical Jihadist Sunni fighters from Syria, Iraq and elsewhere to overthrow the Assad’s Shia allied regime.
So, Assad rejected the deal of Qatar (US allies) because of his alliance with Russia (bear in mind that Qatar’s pipeline would pose a threat to Russia’s economy). He made some powerful countries angry and consequently they would stop at nothing to get rid of him; that includes funding terrorists. American war veteran and senator Richard “Dick” Black also made the statement that the Syria conflict is due to an oil disagreement on Russia Today News He has also condemned the USA
for arming jihadists multiple times. Now, I wouldn’t be surprised if your immediate thought is once again “wow, this is just another bullsh*t conspiracy theory”. Ultimately, it’s your choice of whether you think this is the truth. But remember the Iraq war ? Remember the backlash? The anti-Americanism? The fabricated evidence used by President George W. Bush to go to an illegal war ? Remember that over 26,000 bombs were dropped in other countries by the USA in 2016 alone. Remember the fact that Hillary Clinton herself admitted that al-Qaeda was armed and trained by the CIA to keep the Soviets out of Afghanistan.
The US government knew that if they went into Syria the way they did Iraq, the people would be enraged. What you’re seeing is destabilization from within, similar to what happened in Libya although that was not merely due to oil.
Vladamir Putin, the leader of Russia has also openly claimed the USA funded ISIS. Other politicians such as Tulsi Gabbard and Rand Paul also believe the USA is funding violent extremists, yet they’re both being called ‘traitors’. These beliefs are often deemed ‘Russian propaganda’ by the general public. Groups which are openly supported by the West , such as the ‘Free Syrian Army (FSA) ‘ as well as the ‘White Helmets’ who are somehow called ‘moderate’ have been found to be associated with terrorist groups such as al-Nusra and even ISIS. This also explains why the opposition forces are far more likely to be behind the attacks as they undoubtedly possess chemical weapons. Many believe that if Assad is overthrown he will be replaced by “a Western puppet ” and the USA will get full control of the oil source. Syria could end up like Iraq or Libya or even worse . On the other hand there are talks of America and its allies partitioning Syria so that it essentially becomes a western colony.
It is important to note that the Syria situation is not a civil war . Most of the “rebel” groups are foreigners form countries such as Iraq and Afghanistan who are directly backed by Saudi Arabia and Qatar. Therefore, even if you refuse to believe these terrorist groups are being directly funded by the USA, there is no doubt that America is indirectly supporting them. What these terrorists are doing is so inhumane that I would rather spare you the details. Furthermore, you may not believe everything in this article, you might think some of these claims are absurd. However, I hope this has at least encouraged you to be far more skeptical about your government and the mainstream media. It is crucial for us to be informed if we want to truly stand against injustice. So be sure to do your own research and subscribe to independent news outlets (e.g. teleSUR , the Intercept). Sometimes when the mainstream media tells a story, the true events may actually be the opposite.
