Dear Nairalanders,
I was just posted to Bornu State a day ago (April 16th).
Though the camp is at Katsina State, I am very unwilling to be associated with such a state where violent thrives amidst the nonchalant attitude the government toward resolving matters with BH.

I have intention of waiting till July for the next batch and hopefully it'll be changed to a better state.

Moreover, I am not financially buoyant at the moment to make that travel and arrangements just within three days notice.

A mix of these constraints is making me think in the direction of not going now.
I want to know if there is any disadvantage if I stay where I am and not go.

Experienced and matured minds please...

I will advice you go. Camp is 3 weeks, after that, you redeploy to any state you want. If you reject it, believe me they will post you there again. I know 2 pple they did that to.
