The Pastor of Victory Model Parish of Redeemed Christian Church of God located at 15 Bishop Okoye street Mile 3 Diobu,PortHarcourt,Rivers State,Nigeria have confirmed the damaging of the front windscreen of the the Church White Toyota bus registration number APP 993 B Lagos by persons suspected to be officials of the Ministry of Special duties in Rivers State led by Emmeka Onowu.
The Pastor who spoke to Revelation Agents Online news said the bus was parked at the church front on Monday 16th April,2018 before the incident.Pastor J.B.W Depreye said on that fateful people called him to come out that his vehicle have been damaged by people allegedly led by Emeka Onowu Special adviser on Special Duties in Rivers State.He said when he came out he looked for the Emeka Onowu but he could not find him.The Pastor however called on the S.A to repair the Church bus.
The S.A on Special Duties in his reaction in a radio interview denied damaging people’s car and said it is a rumour.
Meanwhile the Rivers State Civil Society Organization have expressed dismay over the incident .In a press statement jointly signed by its chairman Comrade Georgewill Enefaa and Public Relations Officer Comrade Green Isaac,the Civil Society Organization condemned the incident in a most bitter word and terms stating that it is difficult for them to accept that a state official like the Commissioner of Special Duties will interpret its functions to include damaging of people’s cars as Special Duties.The Civil Society Organization called on Emeka Onowu to render apologies to the victims by fixing their vehicles.
It will be recalled that the victims reported the matter to Nkpolu Divisional Police Headquarters that last Monday.As at press time,no arrested have been made by the Police
