BRAND STRATEGIST/PR
Job Description: The Brand Strategist uses big picture thinking, storytelling, insights, criteria development tools and synthesis in the development of agreed-upon end-goals. The Brand Strategist position generally requires a degree in business or marketing. An advanced degree may be preferred, but not required.
• The Brand Strategist/PR will be required to develop positioning recommendations, guide market research analysis and define brand elements and tone
• The Brand Strategist/PR will find ways to further enhance the branding of a product or service, as well as develop a marketing plan through analysis of current market data and trends
• The Brand Strategist/PR will need to be forward-thinking to anticipate future trends and success of a product or service and
• The Brand Strategist/PR will be required to be detail oriented, as well as be familiar with statistics and research analysis
• The Brand Strategist/PR will be required to ensure a consistent and effective brand message
• The Brand Strategist/PR is responsible for planning publicity strategies and campaigns, writing and producing presentations and press releases, dealing with enquiries from the public, the press, and related organisations
• The Brand Strategist/PR is responsible for organising and attending promotional events such as press conferences, open days, exhibitions, tours and visits, speaking publicly at interviews, press conferences and presentations
• The Brand Strategist/PR is responsible for providing clients with information about new promotional opportunities and current PR campaigns progress
• The Brand Strategist/PR is responsible for analysing media coverage, commissioning or undertaking relevant market research
• The Brand Strategist/PR is responsible for liaising with clients, managerial and journalistic staff about budgets, timescales and objectives

Core skills: the Brand Strategist/PR will develop positioning recommendations, guide market research analysis and define brand elements and tone. The Brand Strategist/PR will find ways to further enhance the branding of a product or service, as well as develop a marketing plan through analysis of current market data and trends.
The Brand Strategist/PR will create and maintain a favorable public image for their employer or client by communicating programs, accomplishments and/or points of view. He will also typically manage the public relations department budget.

Advanced skills: depending on the employer, the Brand Strategist/PR officer may also be required to carry out other, more general, marketing responsibilities. This can involve working on websites and social media and writing and/or producing presentations, reports, articles, leaflets, journals and brochures for both external and internal distribution.
