And those EPL guys in Supereagles.YO :Pur time is up No Kanu No Etuhu No Utaka No Aiyegbeni (suppose to be N0 1 , ohh blind me!!!!) No team has ever won the world cup with 2 or more EPL players starting for them even self Most winners in the last 40 yrs have no EPL player |
Re: Haters Of The Epl Pour Out Your Mind Here by hollandis(f): 10:31pm On May 19, 2010 |
Then whats this craze about Aiyegbeni and Yobo's inclusion and England lifting the cup.Are people just uninformed or is the english press deluded? |

I think most Nigerians dont know much about football else how can anyone insinuate a team full of EPL players win the trophy. Take France again In 1998 they only had Petit as a semi-starter who played in the EPL and they won. In 2002 and 2006 when they had many EPL based players they couldnt win. Dont you see how Brazil the best team in the world avoid EPL based players? Argentina made an EPL player their captain and they struggled to even qualify, something they always do effortlessly |

dayokanu: I call B.S . . . France 98 team had Lebouf and Petit in the final's starting line-up. Their players even came to England after the World Cup to step up . . . Dessailly, Guivarch and Barthez, about half their team has played in the EPL at one time or the other. Only one World Cup final has featured less than two players from the Premiership since the EPL started. |

What has the EPL done to you people? Anyways, i believe its an over rated league. The only team i support in the EPL is Liverpool and thats because they play like a Spanish team and thats because they have a Spanish manager. The LFP(LA LIGA) and Eredivisie(Dutch League) are the best leagues in Europe but those EPL teams know how to get the result. |

hollandis:You are a pillock for the emboldened. If you don't know Capello's credentials, you shouldn't be posting in this section. If the above is the reaso nwhy you think England can't win the world cup,pls return to your vendor stand/beer parlor and take this argument there with you |

I call B.S . . . France 98 team had Lebouf and Petit in the final's starting line-up. Eldee dont disgrace yourself. Lebouef was not a starter for France. Dessailly and Blanc were he only played the finals because of a suspension. Vieira was so irrelevant in the French team. The only game he started was the irrelevant 3rd group game where they started the useless players in reserve. If you remove minutes from the useless 3rd group game vs Denmark,Lizarazu played more minutes than Petit, Vieira, Bernard Lama and Frank lebouef. combined Since 1988 only one world cup winner does not have at least one Bundeliga player who started and was prominent for them How about that. Their players even came to England after the World Cup to step up . . . Dessailly, Guivarch and Barthez, about half their team has played in the EPL at one time or the other When half of their team was playing in the EPL, you can see how many world cup they have won in 2002 and 2006 |

^^^^I can do better than That Since 1978, All worldcup winning captains have one time or another played in Serie A. eldee:You must be smoking pot . How did Desaily step up after leaving Milan in Serie A(world's best league) to join Chelsea in the Premier league(which at that time was the world's 4th best league)? |
Re: Haters Of The Epl Pour Out Your Mind Here by dayokanu(m): 5:59pm On May 20, 2010 |
Desailly, Guivarch and Barthez came to step up indeed. When it was known that the EPl was the retirement ground for expired stars. e.g Gullit, Vialli, Lombardo, Zola, Weah, Deschamp, Klinsmann, etc. Why not say Blanc too came to step up at Man Utd at age 35. Typical GAYYner |

I will always talk when it has to be about dissing the EPL. No doubt their top 4 teams have been able to dominate Europe in the recent past. But the questio has always been what about the remaining 16 teams Pretty much GARBAGE. A league where coaches have no technical input, no style, no charisma. All u see from mid table teams is high balls and players chasing it down from the blast of thw whistle. Compare that to a Serie A which has even lost much of its glamour but top 4 positions and new entrants to champs league like every yr. Ditto Spain, Sitto Germany. EPL is garbage, they now have to rely on Serie a groomed coaches to show them the way. Garbage league, The only reason England will go far at the world cup is cuz they have Don Fabio at the helm, What country is he from again? FORZA ITALIA |

@DK, epl's failure to produce notable wc winners . . . . . stems from the fact that MOST world class players, in their prime, have never really gravitated towards the epl. |
Re: Haters Of The Epl Pour Out Your Mind Here by medjai(m): 10:08pm On May 20, 2010 |
What the EPL really has going for them is packaging. Aside from the top 4 and City the other teams are mostly below average. I always tell people that Tottenham wont make the Champions League group stage. They simply dont have enough quality. |

@DK, epl's failure to produce notable wc winners . . . . . stems from the fact that MOST world class players, in their prime, have never really gravitated towards Meaning its the below world class players are the ones in the EPL. Dont you notice how CR7 and Fabregas upon seeing that they are better than this crap decided to move on |

LFP shits on the EPL anyday. Aside from the top four in the EPL, the others have no European relevance. Infact, when was the last time a team outside Man Utd and Liverpool win something in Europe? Check out the Spanish league, Sevilla, back to back Uefa cup champions. Atletico, current Europa league champions. Valencia won the Uefa cup back in 03(not so sure) but Benitez was in charge then. Valencia were Champions League runners up back to back(99/00 and 00/01). Since 95 the EPL has been won by only 3 teams. Only one player has been crowned world footballer from the EPL. |
