Go for the CRV. the fuel consumption story an earlier poster said is a myth. My honda Accord DC OUTPERFORMED the same 2008 camry muscle of a friend in fuel consumption from lagos to ibadan. Mine barely moved from the full tank mark.
Frankly, that camry muscle is overated imo

let us know when you are all grown up and matured , you drive this old car and you can still criticise some one that wants to buy something older like it's your money he wants to use

Simply CRV

honestly, CRV. the Camry is nice and all but at the end of the day, they have the worst engine. this model in particular, plus the Camry is literally kissing the ground.
Crv also has a well improved fuel economy compared to the previous model, Great ground clearance. its no surprise 70% percent of cars sold last year were SUVs with 15% being Crv and 18% rav4.

While CRV is a crossover, Camry is a sedan.
Fuel consumption of both cars have slight variation in favour of Camry.
For overall performance, go for CRV.

2008 camry is over-rated: dashboard cracks, door panels are made of cheap plastic that break with time, high speed handling isn't much fun, interior is boring, looks very ugly when old etc

no engine problem
my only issue is ac compressor which ive changed twice.both burnt.i lock up for ac
it doesnt consume much fuel
1200 fuel can last me 3days
and some minor malfunctions like door look no more works
fuel guage faulty
suspension
well its about 10yrs old
but once i fix it all and sell
im running for toyota fj cruiser
