The most frustrating aspect of job hunting is attending an interview without getting the job. If you have been in this situation before, you will certainly understand how it feels. Especially, if the company is a reputable one and you have started seeing yourself as part of the big family. Only to receive an email or call from the recruiter telling you “sorry you are not qualified for this job”. I know that feeling of depression and hopes get dashed. Generally, interview is all about selling yourself to a recruiter as well as creating good impression. So, recruiters expect interview candidates to always respond swiftly to their questions even if they don’t have don’t know the answer. This will create an impression that the candidate is very smart and every company needs a smart employee.

#2 Punctuality
As a rule, never late for an interview, it will create a very bad impression about you to the recruiter. Irrespective of the reason for your lateness, it is not acceptable. Therefore, it is advisable to put traffic and weather into cognizance while planning your journey to the interview venue. This means that you should leave home early and give extra time for exigencies. Also, when you apply this approach no matter how things get rough, you will always make it to the journey on time. I must tell you the truth, recruiters love punctuality and it is one of those things every recruiter wants in an interview.

Recruiters love interview candidates with good verbal communication skills. This doesn’t mean that you should be using excessive phonetics. Don’t be greedy during interview and be asking for unreasonable salary. Try to give them figures that they can negotiate. In other words, be realistic about your salary negotiation as this can cost you the job.

After the interview, recruiter will be expecting you to ask a very intelligent question. As a matter of fact, try to make your question counts. And ensure that it is related to the job you will be doing in the organization.
