Lukgaf:Why is it that only in Nigeria they use moon sight to start fasting, here in Malaysia and middle east is based on calendar. It has been know that fasting is starting today 17th May, 2018 since beginning of the year. Is it illiteracy or what? 7 Likes 2 Shares |

The fact they are Arab doesn't mean they can't make Mistake. Our prophet asked us to look for crescent before we start or stop fasting. No calendar is allowed even if it is printed by Imam of Kaaba 41lady: 19 Likes 2 Shares |

Why is it that only in Nigeria they use moon sight to start fasting, here in Malaysia and middle east is based on calendar. It has been know that fasting is starting today 17th May, 2018 since beginning of the year. Is it illiteracy or what? Do you know that for almost 30 years, moon was never sighted in Malaysia.. That is why you are not aware that they too (Malaysia) also go in search of the crescent. Moreover, you must search for the moon first and if it can't be sighted on the 29th of Shaban, then you make it to be 30 and start Ramadan the following day based on the teaching of the prophet. For this reason it's not an act of Illiteracy.. PLEASE IS THE SOURCE OF THE MOON SIGHTING GENUINE 2 Likes |
