erico2k2: If you have nothing doing then other tax payers will pay for you. Your children will go to free public school where ruffians and other people like them will go, you will rely on benefits to eat, funded by other people's hardwork through tax payment. Last last you will claim Catholic and hopefully get your kids admitted but tertiary education is NOT free. On benefit you can't invite anyone over as the govt sees such people as parasites, remember benefits is being reduced now unlike before. Do you think primary and secondary education is not free here? Just like respectable people don't like sending their kids to public schools here, same there too. |

erico2k2: Through tax payers money. That's why tax is so high. That's why some people especially immigrants relocate after a while because they don't understand why they should work so hard for someone else who has never worked in his life to benefit because he's a citizen. |

travelland: Has erico2k2 has alluded to, primary education and secondary education is FREE..... Tertiary education is not free, but the Government funds you to attend and even offer you a student loan for upkeep....... If you never earn pass £30K per annum or migrate out after graduation, you never pay the £60K tertiary education fund back..... No be free tertiary education b dat? |

travelland:You are now seeing what I was trying to say. You are talking about what you know nothing about, do your research so you get taken seriously, who told you public schools are for ruffians? so Ruffians go to Oxford and University of Manchester?? are you serious? almost all our Prime ministers went to Public schools. You simply do not have a clue, you believe on here say. Why don't you hear it from people who are in the system, This really made me laugh PUBLIC SCHOOL IS FOR RUFFIANS, so Boris Johnson, David Becham, Ken Livingston, David Cameron, Tony Blair etc? ahah 1 Like |

erico2k2: They will not treat for free. They will treat without question initially but you will be billed. Many used to go and give birth on visit visa and return because no one will arrest you but your details have been sent to immigration and if the person doesn't pay, they will not be giving him/her visa in future. It's even in the visit forms please don't be fooled |

erico2k2: Hahaha Oxford university is not a public university, about 85% of revenue is gotten from private sources. What makes you assume I don't have first hand experience, have we met before? No free universities in UK even for citizens Most of our reknown leaders went to public schools but the standards have changed just like in UK. |

Re: Nigerian, Dayo The Champagne Socialist, Becomes UK Citizen, 10 Years After (Pic) by travelland(f): 8:05pm On Jun 07, 2018 |
erico2k2: There isn’t really a system of public/private universities in the UK - there are a very small number (5) of fully private Universities. The rest exist in a kind of limbo. All these “limbo” universities are partly publicly financed - including Oxford and Cambridge. However, the Government does not own the university assets, university staff are not considered to be civil servants, and as of 2014, roughly 85% of the Universities’ income comes from “private” sources (student fees, endowments and investment portfolios and so on and so forth) So, to answer you question: kind of. The Government is heavily involved in regulating the universities, and finance a decidedly non-trivial amount of the total; however, most of their income comes from private sources. Does this make them Private Universities? No, not really - we do have those. But they don’t really fall into the same category of “Public Universities” as the US uses (“a that is predominantly funded by public means through a national or subnational government”) No free universities in UK even for citizens, if there is, post information here. |
