Nigeria Drops In Latest FIFA Ranking To 48th Globally, 7th In Africa by yeankhar49: 1:44pm On Jun 07, 2018
The Fédération Internationale de Football Association (FIFA) on Thursday, 7th of June, 2018 released the latest football rankings, seven days to the World Cup in Russia.

The list was released a day after the Super Eagles lost their final friendly game in their build-up to the mundial in Russia. The Nigerian national team fell from the 47th place to 48th after statistics on the FIFA website revealed that the Super eagles lost 17 points from the previous 635 to 618 points.
On the continent, the Super Eagles dropped from 6th to 7th behind Tunisia, Senegal, Congo DR, Morocco, Egypt and Ghana.
Germany still tops the world rankings with Brazil in second place and Belgium third.
