This is what happens when the government of a country supports indigenous businesses. The American government, for example, buys all their cars from American car companies (Ford, GM, Dogde). Periodically, they would even give these private companies money (as in the bailout during 2008 economic crises) to bolster innovation in their cars. Indeed, Ford is able to do this in part because of such patronage.

At this time, the federal government of Nigeria and states should be buying ALL official vehicles from INNOSON Motors. Buying Innoson motors would give the company the much needed financial resources to invest in research and development, which will result in innovation and capacity development. In turn, INNOSON could build vehicles and sell them cheaply to the government and its agencies. The government can also order specialized vehicles from Innoson, as in special security and military vehicles, heavy industry machinery, etc.

Sadly in Nigeria, tribalism, discrimination, fear of appearing inferior to other ethnic groups, corruption, incompetence and dumbness, inferior mental capacity, etc. won't let us to buy from Innoson to help the company to innovate. And this is because the Hausas, Fulanis, and Yorubas who control Nigeria are afraid of the success of an Igbo-owned business.

Nigeria and the ethnic groups that control it - that is, the owners of Nigeria, are a disgrace!

leave the west n the north out of it u guys are ur own enemy such paranoid people una own too much the same innosun dat drives a range deal wif dat rubbish

In Miami US, customers can now place their order with any of 70 participating businesses including restaurants and shopping malls.

On a normal day, a delivery worker rings your doorbell and the goods you’ve ordered are handed over to you.

But how will a self-driving van without an human intervention deliver a good?

To deliver it to customers, an access code is entered by the Postmate's employee and the ordered items are placed inside a locker at the back or beside the van.

When the self-driving van arrives at the destination ,the customer gets a text message to alert him/her.

To retrieve the goods, the secret code will then be imputed to open the locker.

Ford says “Ultimately, we are testing how businesses and consumers interact with a self-driving vehicle" and that they will deploy a fully self-driving delivery service by 2021.

This is a good development. Hopefully these vans will be used to deliver cannabis very soon.

On a serious note, one cannot help but wonder how armed robbers will earn their living in Nigeria, when this sort of driver-less vehicle hits the roads there. How does one go about holding up a van that carries no humans ? This is a predicament to be considered by our industrious men of the underworld.

Lol...armed robbers ill find this more interesting....

Lemme drop this here:

Before you condemn people’s choice of lifestyle

Countless number of times, I have seen people try to portray the likes of Mark Zuckerberg, Bill Gates, Aliko Dangote e.t.c as rich people who don’t live a flashy lifestyle just because they don’t wear “Gucci” and all other designers considered as “flashy/classy” being worn by Hushpuppi and all other celebrities. I can’t help but laugh at their ignorance.

Taking the owner of Facebook as an example, they say he “ordinary plain grey T-shirts” despite having a net worth of over 72 billion USD. Have you ever tried checking out how much each of the T-shirt costs? In case you’re not informed, each of them costs around $300-$400 and he has lots and lots and lots of them. There are even rumors he doesn’t wear a T-shirt twice. So you can imagine how wearing $2100-$2800 worth of “ordinary plain grey T-shirts” a week portrays you as being “simple”.

Do you even know he spent $100 million on buying two properties on Kauai Island in 2014 alone? He has several other properties which amounts to millions of dollars. Now is that still a “simple” life? Bill Gates owns a house that costs $123 million and he’s a “simple” man just because he doesn’t wear Gucci?

The fact that people spend money on what they wear doesn’t mean they don’t have investments/businesses. A person buys an iPhone X/Samsung S9 plus and the next thing people say is “He should have bought a land in Ibeju”, “Why didn’t he invest that money on cryptocurrency?”, “Oh, he is living a fake life. He should have invested the money on landed properties”. Do you know if the person in question has built two houses in Ibeju already? Do you know if he has a substantial amount of digital currencies? Do you even know if he doesn’t like the idea of doing business at all?

The point is, we all have different personalities and what entices or makes us happy are distinct from one another. We all have different mentalities. So, if man A decides to spend HIS money on clothing and fashion items, man B might decide to spend HIS on buying cars. Man C might decide to spend it on houses. This doesn’t mean man A is trying to be flashy or man C is a “simple” man. It all depends on what makes you happy.

Everyone is entitled to his/her own kind of lifestyle!
Most of what you wrote here, including this last statement, is quite correct...
But if you really desire to be rich and wealthy in this world, don't waste your money no matter how small the amount. Don't emulate some rich men's lifestyle of wasting money just because they still appear rich despite their wasteful lifestyle. If they had invested half of the money they wasted, they could have been richer than they already are.
Money is like orange seeds... If you have one orange tree in your compound, you'll always have enough orange fruits to lick every season. Each time you lick an orange, you'll swallow the juice and throw away the seeds from your mouth forgetting that each of those seeds you throw away is a potential orange tree. If only you had planted half of the seeds you throw away every time you lick an orange, it is very possible that by now, you'd have owned a large Orchard of orange that selling its fruits alone can earn you a living.
This is how money works... I am not saying you shouldn't enjoy your money, but we must draw a line between enjoyment and wastefulness. If only some of us were able to invest half of the money we wasted in our lifetime, we wouldn't be looking for jobs anymore.
IT IS NOT HOW MUCH YOU MAKE, BUT HOW MUCH KEEP THAT MAKES YOU RICH.

Lol it even makes their jobs easier.the cars have to stop when it senses an obstacle. Cars now slam the brakes on their own when someone or something is in front of them.
