The Nigeria Football Federation President, Amaju Pinnick has appealed to Nigerians not to crucify the Super Eagles but keep supporting the team as they face Iceland on Friday at the World Cup in Russia. It will be recall that the team lost 2-0 to Croatia on Saturday to send Nigeria bottom of Group D with zero point. Nigeria must have to win their next match against Iceland to have a good chance of qualifying to the knockout stages of the tournament even before facing Argentina in their final Group D match. However, Pinnick revealed that it's still possible for Nigeria to beat Iceland If Nigerians rally round the team. Why won't we criticize them? Their performance against Croatia was abysmal.I believe the match against Iceland will be an open match and if they can't do the job there then they have no business in Russia |

Nigerians are not criticizing them because they lost, we are angry with them because they didn't put up a fight, they didn't even try to contest for the game, they just rolled over and give the Croatians a cheap victory and I mean it when I say cheap victory because the Croatians were not spectacular in that game, a more serious Nigerian team would have had a chance to beat them |
