Logistics Coordinator

System Administrator

The System Admin is responsible for maintaining the integrity and security of Netcom's UNIX servers and systems. The System Admin is expected to conduct system analysis and development, with limited support and direction from professional staff, to keep our systems current with changing technologies. The System Admin is responsible for emergency response as needed to correct system failures.

The System Admin must possess extensive experience in UNIX system administration. As new technologies emerge and impact our systems, the System Admin is expected to learn these technologies very quickly and resolve any problems involved in integrating new technologies with our systems.


Responsibilities:

Service, Maintenance, and Support
Maintain DNS, NFS, DHCP, Samba, LPRng, Postfix, Sendmail, Apache, PostgreSQL, FTP, and proprietary services
Ensure secure operation of all servers and services though the use of security and encryption tools such as SSH, OpenSSL, IPSec Monitor system logs and activity on all servers.
Administrate, verify, and restore from backups.
Replace defective hardware on clients and servers as necessary.

Responsibilities:

IT Administrator

This position is responsible for 80 desktops in local office and 20 desktops in other remote offices, as well as, printers, phones, and to assist network administrator/engineer.

Responsibilities:

Will take calls and respond to e-mail from employees both in local and remote offices.
Respond to employee requests at-hand, both on-site and off-site, either over the phone or in person.
Resolve any desktop computer hardware or software problem.
Maintain all desktops, keeping software and hardware up to date.
Troubleshoot phone problems, including programming both switch and voice mail.

RF Transmission Engineer

Manages field-performance engineering teams familiar with CDMA, FDD-CDMA, TDD-CDMA, and GSM technology. Provides technical expertise to both internal staff as well as vendors. Responsible for the quality and quantity of work performed. Requires seven to 10 years of experience in RF optimization and performance engineering with two to three years as a lead engineer or project manager role.
