I decided to put this together as my journey from applying for Permanent Residency to getting it was quite a herculean task as I couldn't find all info in one place. Here are a few tips and links for those who are interested in applying.

Express Entry is a Canadian immigration program for experienced skilled workers, you can read about it on http://www.cic.gc.ca

In summary they have a ranking system where you register and you are scored based on information provided and draws are done fortnightly or there about, if you meet the required scores you are invited to apply for permanent residency. Currently the scores are hovering around 440 ( https://www.cicnews.com/)

The younger you are the more scores you get and the higher your level of academic qualification the more scores you get. Most importantly your scores in the English exam you will be required to take will be a major factor in determining your over all score. To have an idea of what your scores will be like, take a look at https://www.canadavisa.com/assess/mobile/assessment/skilledworker.html

The first step in applying for the express entry is to create an account on the CIC site, to get graded after creating the account you need 3 things:

1. IELTS General Training result (about 75k)

2. WES certificate evaluation result (about 100k)

3. NOC code

IELTS is an English exam organised by british council, it comprises of 4 sections; Reading. Writing, Speaking, Listening. To get an ideal score you need to score 8 in Listening and 7 in the rest. To read more about IELTS grading and exam registration take a look at https://www.britishcouncil.org.ng/exam/ielts
https://www.canadavisa.com/canada-immigration-language-converter.html

WES is an international certificate evaluation body that verifies that your degree is equivalent to a degree in Canada, it requires you registering on their site and filling in your degree information then making payment, after which you will authorize your school to send a copy of your transcript to them while you send a copy of your certificate to them via post.

Use the url https://wes.org/

and make sure you select Canada when creating your account.

The NOC code also called national occupation code is simply a code that describes your career path which you are claiming experience for and have worked for at least the last one year, check your NOC code on
https://www.canada.ca/en/immigration-refugees-citizenship/services/immigrate-canada/express-entry/become-candidate/eligibility/find-national-occupation-code.html

With your WES and IELTS results you can create an account on the CIC site and wait for the draws.

1 .For the Wes, is someone who has Bsc and Masters expected to pay sepretetely for both certificates to be evaluated?
2.Does a married applicant's spouse too have to pay for Wes evaluation or the applicant's payment covers for both?
3. Is the spouse of a married applicant suppose to write Ielts too? If yes, what should the score be?
