I have discovered that most parents no longer check up on what their children are doing....
Where they are...
What they are watching and who they are communicating or associating with...

There is a woman who lives thereby,her 5 year old child was knocked down by a keke...thank God the keke was not on top speed....that would have been another tragic moment!

The job or responsibility of parenthood is a very tasking one and an important aspect in the growth of any child....

Parents must endeavour to watch over their kids as if their lives depend on it...

Always keep an eye on where or who the kids are playing or communicating with....and its not a bad idea to place a playground limit for them...

Kids esp female during their tender are very vulnerable and must be protected from intruders!

I don't think Wishing to have male child's the solution.

It's the responsibility of the parent to always protect them. Teach them to speak up. Bond with them so they open up to you. If they're below the speaking-age, Always be with them. Or hire someone yiu trust who would. Never let males talk to them. We have yo be strict. I don't care the consequences. They're kids for Christy's sake!

The rate of sexual abuse is on the increase. I followed @NaijaClassCapt on Twitter on #EndRape today and read stories that sent shivers down my spine. Please If you are reading this comment and you have such evil mind, go for deliverance and counselling. Have a change of mind. No kid deserves to be treated in such a manner. May God continue to protect our children and let parents watch over their kids

My take on this is the little girl knows the culprit,possibly someone that is close to the family but she is afraid to tell.the culprit might have told the girl that if she tell she will die.the parents and the police need to employ special techniques to get the girl to talk.

in this day and age we still have unidentified persons? a simple rape kit would have done the needful, run DNA sample through the database and voila as long as the person is documented , culprit identified
