This year’s admission into tertiary institutions in Nigeria took a new turn yesterday with the official setting of the cut-off marks for the various institutions of higher learning across the country. In an event to mark the endorsement of this and other policies surrounding this year’s admission processes, the Registrar of JAMB, Professor Is-haq O. Oloyede presented the cut-off marks, which were unanimously approved by all stakeholders of education present at this year’s JAMB admission policy meeting held at the budding Bola Babalakin Auditorium in Gbongan, Osun State. Details of the cut-off marks are as follows:

140 for Degree programmes,
120 for National Diploma (ND) programmes and
100 for National Innovation Diploma (NID) and Nigeria Certificate in Education (NCE) programmes.
The JAMB policy meeting had in attendance, the Honourable Minister of Education, Mallam Adamu Adamu, the Minister of State for Education, Professor Anthony Anwuka, the Permanent Secretary in the Federal Ministry of Education, the Minister in charge of tertiary institutions in Ghana, the executive governor of Osun State, the executive Secretary of NUC, representatives of NBTE and other dignitaries.

The meeting was also replete with Vice-Chancellors, Registrars, Provosts, Rectors and admission officers of tertiary institutions in Nigeria.
