The West African Examinations Council (WAEC) Stated on Wednesday that Just 49.98 percent of applicants who composed its 2018 May/June school certificate examination obtained credit moves and over.

The council’s Head of National Office, Mr. Olu Adenipekun, stated the credit moves included English Language and Mathematics.

Adenipekun gave this advice at a press conference to declare that In the previous three years has been varying in light of the results of the newly released 2018 evaluation.


The HNO, which gave a breakdown of these data candidates’ Performance in the evaluation, said that a total of 1,578,846 enrolled for the examination from Nigeria.
According to him, from this number, 1,572,396 of them sat for the examination.

He explained the performance, when compared to what obtained in precisely the same examination in 2016 and 2017, revealed a decrease.
