Ekiti Moves From 1st To 23rd Position As WAEC Releases May/June 2018 Results by odiks: 7:21am On Jul 07, 2018
A chieftain of the All Progressives Congress (APC) in Ekiti State, Prince Dayo Adeyeye, has expressed shock over what he called mass failure of the indigenes from the state, in the 2018 May/June West African School Certificate Examination.

Adeyeye blamed it on the “systemic” breakdown of education in the state under Governor Ayodele Fayose.

This was contained in a press release signed by his media aide, Bayo Ojo, on Friday.

“One is shocked with the abysmal mass failure of Ekiti students in the recently released WAEC 2018 results placing the state on number 23 out of 36 states.

“We have earlier cried to the public that the celebrated achievement of coming first in NECO examination was as a result of concerted efforts made by Oni/Fayemi administrations to reposition the education sector.

“It takes time for a seed to germinate and bear fruits.

The results of the giant strides of the two administrations and huge investment in pedagogical and infrastructural facilities was undeservedly appropriated by Fayose as his achievements.

“One wondered then how you could achieve such outstanding result without any investment whatsoever in infrastructural and human capital development. Fayose was claiming that he could reap without sowing. Now the deceit has finally been exposed,” it read.

Sometimes, when you are beaten in life,it is not because you are weaker;it's just that your opponent is getting stronger.

The successes of yesterday may not carry you through today's challenges. You must do more than you did yesterday to remain relevant in life.

So the first position as of last year, was it not during Fayoses' tenure?

How do you expect students to write well when the country is in chaos?

The massive failure swept through the whole country this year, so I beg you, APC, don't do mumu critics with stupid shallow points.

Lol scam I sense that first was bought by the state,
No matter how long a lie runs truth will eventually over take it. One does not suddenly drop from 1 to 23 over night.
While Others are celebrating industries like Shenzhen a former fishing village in Guandong in China produces 90% of electronics all over the world, (I challenge you to find an electronic that does not have any part produced in Guandong state or shenzhen village) but one full Ekiti state in Nigeria is celebrating waec result. And government wants to be praised for exam that children wrote.
My people come let us jointly hide our heads in Shame on behalf of Ekiti, Nigeria and Africa as a whole.
