A secondary school girl broke down in tears up in returning home from school for the holiday but met her family home razed to the ground and her dad killed in the recent herdsmen-farmer clashes in Plateau State.

According to reports, Chap had just returned from school for the holidays but was told she couldn’t go home because her community was attacked and she was taken to the IDP camp with the hope of reuniting with her parents and siblings.

On getting to the IDP camp in Heipang, she was told her dad was burnt to death during the crisis, the little girl burst into tears immediately.
