All 384 clubs across Europe that were represented in Russia will receive a compensation package of £6,460-per-day for every player released Premier League clubs are set for a World Cup windfall after the tournament came to an end in Russia on Sunday. France claimed the trophy as they beat Croatia 4-2 in a thrilling final in Russia. For some, attention is already turning back to club matters with the start of the Premier League season less than four weeks away. All 384 clubs across Europe that were represented in Russia will receive a compensation package of £6,460-per-day for every player released for this summer's tournament. And England's top-flight clubs will benefit the most by receiving almost a fifth of the £157million to be handed out. Here is how much the top 10 English will earn 1. Manchester City - £3.9m (16 players) 2. Chelsea - £3.5m (11 players) 3. Tottenham - £3.4m (12 players) 4. Manchester United - £2.9m (11 players) 5. Liverpool - £2.1m (7 players) 6. Arsenal - £1.9m (8 players) 7. Leicester - £1.8m (8 players) 8. Stoke - £987,000 (4 players) 9. Swansea - £902,000 (4 players) 10. Southampton - £825,000 (4 players) NOTE - The calculations have been done by Berlin-based communications specialists Tonka with regard to cash set aside by FIFA through their World Cup benefits programme. The amount that each club receives depends on the number of players they have at the tournament, starting two weeks before it kicks off, and how far those players progress. FIFA began making payments on May 31 and they end one day after the player exits the tournament.
