he has a solid business plan, the job is to not run financially bankrupt while making his moves
also to understand how Nigerians work, he has never worked in Nigeria before. he feels like a job will make him understand better how to run his.

With money he can land a good job in Nigeria. Let him just look for a slot and buy.
I mean federal government job slot.

he can get a job here as an expertise and based on his experience, but the issue would be the pay.

With his experience, he will be hot cake in telecom and banks. He can start by sending mails to all the major telecom companies in Nigeria. There are some few IT firms that can afford him. Do your research, get d contact of pple already working in those companies.

Note: govt jobs in Nigeria are mostly based on slot and not merit. Hence govt shud be ur last option. Howver, with 200-500 thousand naira $500-$1250) you can get govt govt job from slot seller (note most are scams).

Above all, he should consider doing business as a side venture (it must nt be IT...It business is a bit challenging in Nigeria). I recommend mobile phone and laptop sale at retail or whole level (jst one of the things dt popped into my head).

MY FIBAL RECOMMENDATION: NIGERIA IS ECONOMICALLY HARSH RIGHT NOW, ESPECIALLY UNDER THE CURRENT GOVT. I RECOMMEND THAT HE SHOULD WAIT A LITTLE WHILE .

GOODLUCK TO YOU

Provided he is coming back with enough dollars for investment and business then he is covered.

As par getting a job here there is no guarantee he will get any because our labour market is saturated already. But with enough dollars in the bank he can start his own business and even create job for others.

If he doesn't have enough money to start up his business here then he should keep applying for job from his base n relocate when he secures one to avoid stories that touch.

Pay will be another issues because very few jobs can pay him above $1500 given his experience ie 547500 naira

First, he needs to start applying to NGO's or organizations that will value his experience. Does he have a preferred location ? I would choose Abuja. I would recommend Jobberman, hotnigerianjobs or careers24 for job ads. Let's start from there.

After such a long time abroad, he should have more than enough capital to start a business. Why does he insist on working for someone else when he can be his own boss. My uncle went to u.k for 10 years came back to Nigeria, started his business, man is filthy rich.
Re: Relocating To Nigeria by Gbengageorge: 12:13pm On Jul 17, 2018
He can work with good companies in Nigeria, but he should get a long leave in his company for a month or two to study how life in Nigeria can be. Before he resign from his oyibo work. He should look for multinational companies in Nigeria. That better.

Nigeria is at a point where most people are leaving in droves. It is like another round of brain drain and curiously, it also includes those who are doing very well financially. Personally, i would advise him to stay where he is.
But if he wants to come, also great! But money isn't everything. No matter how short you live abroad, you will still find a lot of things absurd here when you return. If he has a mindset of expecting the worst, he will be fine. Will he make more money? Of course, especially as you say he is an IT guru with years of experience. He really doesnt need a recruitment agency per se, he can throw his cv around or optimize it on Linkedin. But if he must use any agency, he can try Phillips Consulting or Adexen. Workforce too. Great idea to work before running a business. It'll help him study the terrain. Goodluck

Some people are attuned to working in a standard organization than starting one. They're called builders.

Isn’t that a form of slavery ?

Not at all.
Some are enterpreneurs while some build what enterpreneurs found.

I have a friend who thought he will never work for a company again due to the fact that he felt he was making it personally. So, one day we got talking and he said he felt it was 'slavish' to work for an organization. I smiled and told him he was wrong. I told him that a big opportunity would made him swallow his words.

Three months later, he got an employment in which he was a perfect fit and also a very fat paycheck with big connections and many advantages. He took the opportunity and recruited a young man to run his own service company. He's finding running his own difficult because the other guy also believes he is a 'slave' for working for someone.

It's our understanding that is making it difficult for us to have legacy companies in Nigeria. A company is supposed to be an entity and not everyone needs to establish one. We should just ensure we serve God and man in every opportunity we get in life.

So, you can be fulfilled while working in an organization you didn't build.

You could send me a DM so I can connect you with a HR personnel for Jobberman, he recruits high net professionals like your husband. Then I would also advise he leverage on LinkedIn too...that would avail him the opportunity to connect with the big 4 organisations and recruiters too in Nigeria.

All the best!

that's a beautiful Resume your Hubby got there. God will favor him and bless you too.

he can also work in a multinational Consulting firm. like, Deloitte needs to hire an IT Lead here in Abuja:

either a BS/BA with 7 years experience or an MS/MA/MBA with 6 years experience. jobs2.deloitte.com

i support this relocation plan while living in the Western region of Canada. your babies can do their grade-school in Africa. then go overseas for long vac when their dad and mom are on leave.

bon voyage
