I Love the town hall meetings. Watched the last one live on channels. Every state should adopt it.

I watched it too. Everyone was allowed to speak his or her mind on live camera. Kudos. You could see people rushing to collect mic and being given opportunity to speak

Not every governor can do that.

Ambode don make everybody to dey fear development now. If he starts for your area, he wee uproot all the roads at once without giving you alternatives.

Go-slow go kee una, if you doubt me ask anyone leaving along Lagos-Abeokuta exp. way how levels(Ladipo to Iyana-Ipaja)? The government is very confused with that road.

Why are you comparing with PDP?
Why not compare with Jakande, Mobolaji Johnson and even Awolowo?
Are you afraid of Tinubu, Fashola and Ambode’s collective incompetence and corruption plus massive looting being apparent
I am comparing with PDP because Awolowo and co lived in a different time This is a different democratic dispensation

Are you afraid of the gross incompetence of Jonathan and co

Different time running the same geographical entity?
As for Jonathan, in his five years, he did better than your Tinubu, Fashola and Ambode put together in their 19 years plus.
All the three APC failures have been unable to improve on public education enrolment and standards compared with Jonathan who established new universities and almajiri schools in addition to improvements to existing institutions.
In railways, Jonathan revived what General Muhammadu Buhari and other military dictators ruined and worked on new projects like the Kaduna-Abuja railways and the Abuja metro. Your APC trio of failures have been unable to complete the Lagos light rail, 34 years after Buhari cancelled Jakande’s metro. Instead Ambode has turned himself into a bus stop governor.
You are the one who should be afraid of comparing your APC failures to Jonathan if you have any sense. Do you have any

Bro do you understand what you are writing at all

is 1975 same as 2010 in Nigeria Is the naira the same is the problem in the society the same is the level of poverty and corruption the same

On your comparisons between Jonathan to Tinubu and Fashola

Without allocation from Abuja under PDP rule, Tinubu managed to maintain Lagos without borrowing any funds whatsoever In fact, his financial management model of generating revenue from within the state have been replicated by other states to good effect Jonathan on the other hand, presided over a period that the global oil prices(Nigeria main revenue source) was at the highest in history and still had to borrow to build substandard universities and renovate a preexisting rail line that he still didn't manage to complete While other oil rich countries were building large foreign currency reserves and creating enviable hedge funds

Fashola brought BRT to Lagos, modernized the Lagos transport network, built public schools to standards of mid range private schools, started a whole new rail line system in Lagos Opened up new areas In Lagos by expanding basic infrastructures to areas of Lagos that has never seen such development before
or isn't that why Lagos became the fifth largest economy in the Africa? ??

Comparing Jonathan to Fashola is like comparing the prodigal son who wasted his resources partying to a good business man with great business acumen

Stop telling this lame story.
Lagos and other states collected almost half of the revenues from the same period without responsibilities for the army, navy, Air Force, police, national intelligence, foreign affairs, customs, immigration, prisons, ports, airports, railways, embassies, federal roads, federal presence in the 36 states etc.
Jonathan performed way better than Fashola without the propaganda noise. That is why Fashola has been a total failure in Abuja. Total and complete failure just like Buhari his boss and Tinubu his predecessor and Ambode his successor.

Telling a lie several times does not make it become the truth.
Obasanjo never seized the entire 47% Lagos State allocation. He only seized the 20% meant for the local governments when Tinubu created 37 additional LGAs in disregard of the constitution.
Most of the seized money was released after the Supreme Court judgement and reversal to LCDAs for the 37 unconstitutional LGAs. The balance of about N10 billion was released by PDP under Yar’Adua. Tinubu also begged Obasanjo to join their APC for Buhari to be elected president after his serial failures of 2003, 2007 and 2011!

Can you possibly know more than Femi Adesina

nawtyme:
revious Govts Initiated ‘Most Of The Things This Administration Is Doing’ – Adesina

A majority of the projects the Muhammadu Buhari administration is working on was inherited from previous administrations, the Special Adviser to the President on Media and Publicity has said.

Mr Femi Adesina said this when he appeared on Channels Television’s special Independence anniversary programme on Sunday.

“Most of the things this administration is doing – 60 to 70 percent of them – were initiated by previous governments,” he said.

“That shows you that in the past a government will come and say ‘this is not our project’ And it will discard what was being done and start fresh ones.”

As a result, Mr Adesina said there are many half and quarter-completed abandoned projects.
But rather than abandon the project, he explained that the current administration will complete it.

An example is the Abuja-Kaduna rail project which the Presidential aide said was up to maybe 60 to 70 percent complete when the last administration left.

Please was the fund held back or not Did tinubu implement tough economic policies to navigate the period or not was his model of revenue generation not adopted by other states or not

Jonathan was already borrowing to cover recurring expenditure when oil prices were still as high as $90 because he managed to throw our collective wealth at dubious politicians for loyalty

So Lagos just collect money and throw them in the air You mean Lagos don't have monthly obligations

Besides, are you saying other nations that used their financial fortune from the high oil prices don't have any obligations whatsoever as well.

Fashola is is an employee now under the federal government, so he doesn't have the power to perform as much as he wants, unlike his tenure as Lagos governor

In addition, Jonathan as the governor of Bayelsa performance was painfully woeful as he set a bad precedent for the current dismal state of the oil rich state.

Tinubu implemented policies for his personal looting of Lagos State with Aregbesola as his collaborator as commissioner for works.
Without the massive Lagos money to be stolen while doing a few cheap & cheerful projects, Aregbesola’s eight years has been a monumental failure with salaries, deductions and pensions owed for several months and years.
The same oil prices were highest for Aregbesola yet he is unable to meet the basic obligations of a responsible employer- pay salaries, deductions and pensions timely- despite huge debts he accumulated.
Tinubu, Buhari, Fashola, Ambode and APC people are worse rogues and thieves. They are the worst looters. Period.

He still didn't manage to complete a simple rail line when countries with similar oil fortunes were building under ground train system worth billions of dollars without borrowing much.

Yet, you compare him to a state government who presided over a complete revolution of the transport system in his state with limited resources and limited federal assistance

Buhari has completed the two new projects.
Failure Fashola could not make any progress on just one metro project despite receiving 47% of the same highest oil revenues.

If that is not true, tell us how many passengers have been carried by their phantom light rail. Thanks.

Priscy01:
The Nigerian Railways Corporation (NRC) said the Abuja-Kaduna train service has recorded approximately 900,000 passengers in two years.

The Manager of the train service, Mr Pascal Nnorli disclosed this yesterday at the two years anniversary celebration of the service at the Idu train station in Abuja.

“As at today when we checked, we saw that we have carried approximately 900,000 passengers in two years” he said.

He said the service has provided 600 direct jobs since inception.
President Muhammadu Buhari had on July 26, 2016, flagged off the commercial operations of the service.

Nnorli said “We have done well, based on the available infrastructure. Before 2016, we didn’t have any operational standard gauge railway in West Africa, this was the pioneer standard gauge operation in West Africa and here we are today carrying an average of 2000 passengers everyday to and from Abuja-Kaduna.”

He said e-ticketing will soon commence and access into the train terminal area would be electronically through the e-tickets.

“As a corporation, we are going further to make sure that we give people the best of rail service by introducing e-ticketing. The procurement process has started and we are in the next phase right now,” he said.
