Where were you when boko haram was overrunning a sizable portion of the country and military was running away in panic while cops were discarding their uniforms?

Also the 30k cops in ekiti were drafted from various formations across the country.

We have many flashpoints in naija: plateau, benue, taraba, Kaduna, adamawa, zamfara, yobe, maiduguri...obviously you’re not aware that none of these places has any number of sufficient troops, and when another place flares up they’ve to pull manpower from some of these places

security isn't d president's doing, its his responsibility. As long as u occupy d office of d president & C-in-C of d federal republic of Nigeria, section 14(2b) is ur burden. If soldiers&policemen were running away at d sight of BH, it doesn't change section 14(2b). D question is who is ultimately responsible 4 section 14(2b)?

Like I said earlier, in management, resources are never adequate whether in peace time or war time&I stand 2b corrected. What a good manager does in d light of inadequate resources, human, material, financial or otherwise, is 2 prioritise. u will only get results based on ur priorities. D ongoing war against BH in NE is being executed by d same method of deploying men, machinery & weapons from several formations across d country. If d govt can mobilise 30k policemen from various formations across d country 4 an election, y can't it do same 2 save lives? If d govt could deploy soldiers 4 operation python dance cos of IPOB, y can't it deploy those same soldiers to protect lives?

Those places u called flashpoints are still manageable. Plateau, Kaduna &Benue states 4 instance are old states with several military formations. Like I said also, it all boils down 2 leadership. As it is now, d president&his security team aren't even sure who is responsible 4d insecurity. Today d president will say Gaddafi boys, tomorrow he will accuse politicians. That clearly shows u y there's complacency&d level of incompetence from that end.

D reason 4 soldiers being deployed in resolving civilian domestic crisis, is simply because d police has failed&continue 2do so. D long years of military rule is partly to blame but d police are still content standing on d road 4 checkpoints. D Nigerian police has refused 2 evolve and b relevant in handling d security challenges in today's times. They are oblivious of their constitutional roles. even when they arent, they prefer mediocrity to excellence & service. Other security outfits like d civil defence are barely deployed 4 anything. DSS which should help in gathering intelligence on domestic security threats does more of being used as body guards 4 political office holders&their families. In order cases, they are used against political opponents. So I still put d blame on leadership. If u understand how powerful d machinery of state is, u won't make excuses 4 govt.

Beyond all this, security isn't just about guns&fighting criminals. Its also about ensuring justice&equal access to opportunities 4 all Nigerians.

its not as if I'm perturbed by the security situation in the northern part of the ZOO but what beats my imagination is how someone would just pick up arms and start killing their brothers and sisters and burning their houses unprovoked. these northerners are animals and mustn't be put in the same geographical enclave with any human.

Since they can't have it judicially. They use force. When they strike and the residents flee, they occupy the land and ranch.

The sad part is that the Government of the day is in connivance with it.

This government came on the premise they were going to terminate all this wanton killings but today we know better.

Therefore, anybody coming in as the new president will not just talk but rather show us a blueprint how he or she will tackle yhis menace frontally and eliminate it completely within the shortest possible time. Preferrably yhe one that can name the names of thr sponsors, financiers, supporters or collaborators. That will be the president we are looking for.
