samsjoke, you'd do better getting a strong decoder instead of using that of dstv. |

George_D, Yea i know that i just tot since i already have the dstv deoder and from what i have been reading it can be done so i was just wondering how to do it. tried all the combo i have seen but just isnt working. i need some one that has done it before to just tell me what am doing wrong. From what i have read using dstv decoder is limited cos of the no of channels u can get but my wife loves the dstv so its a keeper. Just wanted to know what i can do to extend it thats all. thanks anyway |

samsjoke, if you must keep the dstv, fine. all you need do is loop out from the dstv decoder to the strong decoder and blindscan to enjoy your fta channels. |

Ok George. So if i get one of those Strong decoders i can actually use the same signal from the ku-band dish. By looping out i take it u mean split the signal. is there like a t connector or somethng that i can buy? Also can u give me an idea of where and how much the strong decoder can cost. by the way saw that u were voted The Satellite Poster Guru Of The Year Congrats. just met u and i am already voting for u. |

samsjoke, if your using the new type dstv decoder, connect the signal coming from the dish to a 2-way splitter and then connect the 2-way splitter to the dstv decoder and strong decoder. for a strong decoder, go for the new 4669x. it costs about 16k in lagos. |
