As a Civilain how can i acquire a firearm legally in Nigeria. I would like to own one for personal use, i know a few people that owned fire arms in the past but never thought about asking them.

I would like to know the procedure to own one legally and if there is any licensing required to have one.

Moderators can we get this topic to the front page so we can have more opinion on how to go about this.

around 2004 while i was still growing up, i promised myself that i must own a firearm because of the many forms of injustice i saw in life. i did not know that the injustice of 2004 was just a child's play compared to what i witness today.

m.s: though i don't feel the strong need for one now but i still think it is a necessity for me.

@OP, i don't know how to go about it.
