NFF to begin negotiation with Lagerback

Win or lose today, officials of the Nigeria Football Federation (NFF) are ready to re-negotiate a long term contract with the Super Eagles technical adviser, Lars Lagerback.

reliably gathered form an NFF source in Durban that the football house would commence immediate discussion with the former Sweden Coach immediately after the match against South Korea.

"I think the man has done well, and the federation now has a lot of confidence in him. Immediately after the match against Korea, we would commence discussion with him to see the possibility of him building a new team for the country.

"His target will be to win the next Africa Nations Cup and also qualify Nigeria for the next World Cup in Brazil. We don’t want to undergo the stress we went through the last time. However, all will depend on how disposed the coach would be to the new deal," the source said.

It would be recalled that the Director General of the National Sports Commission (NSC), Chief Patrick Ekeji has called on the NFF to start negotiation with the coach before other countries lure him away.

Are we watching the same team?

Setting a new target for Lagerback without giving account of the previous set target?

The previous target was Semi Finals and we could not win even one group match upon all the larger money paid to lagerback.

He may have done well for the pockets of NFF officials but he surely has not done well for Nigerian football. There is no justification for this madness called Lagerback.

He must go, we need one of our ex-players to coach us.
