Nigerian artists make a lot of cash from their craft. They ride the best autos, fly private or first class, pop expensive champagne, etc. But how many of them can you classify as rich on a top 50 basis, let alone top 10? The answer is just a handful. In other not to mince words, many of these celebrities are just for the gram. Nevertheless, we have some heavyweights in the industry.. check out the top 10 richest musicians in Nigeria for 2018 below.

This list is ranked based on investments and not fame.

#10 M.I Abaga

The Chocolate City Entertainment executive sits on the number 10 spot. Still a recording artist, he has a couple of signed acts under the label as well. His money is made from music sales, performance fees as well as real estate investments. This rap king is always on a lowkey but trust me when I say he has large funds stashed up.

#9 Timaya

This list wouldn't be complete if the Egberi Papa 1 of Bayelsa state is not in it. Obviously living in affluence right now after a tough upbringing, Timaya is a rich Nigerian artist and king of the dancehall. Besides commanding a high-performance fee, Timaya has endorsement deals with some top brands in the country and real estate investments.

#8 Olamide

I am certain some of you expect to see this name at the top of the list. Well, being the rave of the moment doesn't necessarily turn to billions in cash or assets. Only investments can perform that magic. Nevertheless, we can't take it away from the YBNL boss. He commands a very high-performance fee, also has endorsement deals with large multinational companies and a long trail of real estates. Olamide is surely one rich Father.

#7 Banky W

Although he has taken his foot off the gas with respect to recording, Mr. W still makes the list. The E.M.E boss is still in the music business though, in the form of branding, advertising, artist management, PR etc. Made his fortune from music, endorsement deals and real estate.

#6 2Face Idibia

Legendary 2Baba comes on the number six spot. Biggest act ever to come out of Nigeria is into a lot of investments. The Hypertek Entertainment CEO is still a recording artist hence commanding a sizeable amount with respect to performance fees. There are a lot of endorsement deals held by the Benue State born entertainer. Other investments of the father of 7 include real estates in their numbers and a popular club, Rumors.

#5 Wizkid

Some of you are shocked, right? Don't be. The rave of the last 3/4 years, Wizkid is a super duper artist. Biggest musical export out of Nigeria, Ayodeji Balogun is certainly a Billionaire (Do you want to argue?). He commands mega millions (if not billions) in record sales. This guy sells his records digitally like other artists but at a faster rate. His performance fees are off the roof, endorsement deals are just so much. How about Real estate properties? He owns a couple of them in choice locations. Back in 2014, he said he invests heavily in Gold. I guess he should have a Gold stash somewhere in a bunker. Baba makes the list at number 5.

This is pretty entertaining, right? Visit the link below to see the rest of the gist (From #4 - #1).
