The Go Maps will support navigation with turn-by-turn directions, that put it closer to the standard version available on other Android smartphones. The Files Go app will be able to transfer data in a peer-to-peer mode without requiring an Internet connection and speeds up to 490Mbps.

Even the Google Assistant Go is present in this version of Android 9 Pie (Go edition) and will support several languages as well. In addition, the functionality level will now have commands to control the camera, flashlight, reminders, and Bluetooth.

Even phone manufacturers have stopped rolling out OS updates for phones. They just make new flagship every year with the latest OS. Hope it rolls out just intime for the LG V40.

Updated: Just realised this go edition OS is for low end phones in emerging markets. The full pie would be for the high end devices.
