Miss General Elections 2019 maiden edition have been designed to symbolise Unity, Peace and progress. The Beauty contest is designed to be an important focus on democracy, national or regional pride. On an individual level, it will give young women (winners, participants and fans) an opportunity to enrich not only their own lives, but the lives of others. The Pageants is set to provide the perfect opportunity for some of the most beautiful young women to fulfil their ambitions and develop themselves as role models.

Contrary to the perceptions of many people who viewed pageants as trivial events whose interpretation required no intellectual effort. In fact, many critics argue that such contests reinforce the idea that girls and women should be valued primarily for their physical appearance, and that this puts tremendous pressure on young women to conform to conventional beauty standards by spending time and money on fashion, cosmetics, hair styling et cetera.

“The idea that a Beauty contest is just for show and only judged by physical beauty is certainly not relevant in our search for Miss General Elections Nigeria (MGEN 2019).

On the contrary, we are considering the total woman which includes among other attributes, inner strength and maturity to take on the role and be able to interact with people on all levels of social standing.

Although the Miss General Elections crown comes with lots of advantages, the winner of the crown is expected to work on a number of projects, like supporting the Independent National Electoral Commission (INEC) to promote voters education, unity, peace and tolerance during the elections. Participants will tour round Nigeria (Peace Tour) and the crowned winner will pay visits to key contestants and will make use of the opportunity to become Beauty-In-Peace ambassador to the New Government come 2019.

The winner is required to follow a clear program such as participating in different social and cultural events, either in the country or abroad as well as participate in similar international beauty contests

Also during her reign, Miss General Elections is expected to travel around Nigeria as well as across the world as an ambassador for Nigeria. She has a duty to uplift her country and act as a role model for all Nigerian citizens.

During the 2019 General Elections, the crown winner will present a joint signature events to all contestants where they will append their signature for peace and anti-corruption. All parties candidates are expected to work with the winner for national development.
