Barcelona had gone a long way last season pursuing the Paris Saint-Germain midfielder Adrien Rabiot, claims SBNations.

Although Barcelona did not succeed in signing the 23-year-old, Rabiot may be up next season for a free move since he has not signed a new deal with Paris Saint-Germain.

Liverpool is as interested in the youngster as Barcelona. Jurgen Klopp has been in contact with the player about a possible move to join his team.

According to the report, Rabiot has disclosed during an interview his fondness for Liverpool when he was growing up. He also said he’d love to play in English Premiership.

This really puts Barcelona up in a tight positon with Liverpool over the player. It is obvious that Liverpool has a bidding power as they are currently a team to reckon with and had gone as far as the Champions League final in the previous season. Liverpool is also a strong contender with Manchester City for the English Premier League this season.

Whatever the case, Rabiot may be up to make his pick come the next summer.
