mistamash: Hopefully someone will come along soon to answer your query. I thought people travelled freely within Africa i.e. no visa or anything but I can't really say anything for sure. |

thanks omo alata, i guessed as much too, as in i dont think one needs a visa to travel west african countries from nigeria. pls some one explain better. |

You don't need a visa to travel within the ECOWAS (Economic Community Of West African States) region, and in some cases, your passport is not needed, but you might encounter some bribe-seeking checkpoint officers who would want you to prove your nationality by your passport or you do so by money |
