The Department of English and Literature, University of Benin lacks a library! Yes you read that right! They lack anything resembling shelves holding books. A recent visit to the the department by a student who wanted to take a look at their final year project library resulted in this revelation. According to an undisclosed source at the department, "the library went into extinction long ago". When quizzed about past projects from students of the institution, he simply pointed to an unbelievable sight on the floor. Outside, not too far away from the office, were projects housed like orphans in an open corner drenched from begging for attention!

And the students who are unfortunate enough to pass through these department/schools will be forced to defend it in order not to demarket themselves and their certificates. |
