If you can answer the question why our so called men of God (or Gold) would leave going to nearby Niger, Chad and Sudan to spread the gospel but rather prefers buying private jets to go Europe and America to go and 'preach' the gospel. Then, you're already done with your research.

Unemployment? The will to survive in a hard knock world? Man must survive one way or another and people will latch on to anything they see as a surefire survival guarantee.

when began to see the proliferation of churches on my street old ojo road in lagos in the early 90s i knew exactly where nigeria was heading. Poverty, unemployment, and inflation are the main reasons for the increase in churches. Add to that the fact that nigerians are afraid of death so would rather look to God to come down from Heaven rather than hold thier Government to account like what the Greeks did in Greece when they demonstrated about inflation caused by the euro
