It has been revealed that Cristiano Ronaldo was one of three players Lionel Messi voted for to win the FIFA Best player award. As a captain of the national team, Lionel Messi voted on behalf of the Argentina national team and named his rival as his third selection. Messi voted for Luka Modric in first position while putting PSG and France star, Kylian Mbappe in second position before he then nominated Ronaldo in third position. Ronaldo, who also had the opportunity of voting courtesy of his position as captain of Portugal, totally ignored Messi in his nomination.
