it is A VERY USELESS COURSE TO SPEND 4 YEARS IN UNIVERSITY STUDYING YET I ADVICE YOU TO STUDY IT AND GRADUATE WELL... here is why

1) They will never teach you CURRENT and IMPORTANT programs that can be applicable in the workplace even locally.
THIS MAY SEEM LIKE A DISADVANTAGE but IT IS ACTUALLY TO YOUR ADVANTAGE BECAUSE YOU CAN LEARN WHATEVER YOU WANT BY YOURSELF and make money teaching others...

2) YOUR PROJECT TOPIC OR SEMINAR will be very very different from what you may have been taught hence COPYING FROM PREVIOUS SETS is advisable... in your 100 LEVEL get 4-10 project topics and materials from final year students.... so that you can choose one of them to replicate in your own TIME 4 years later.

3) THE COURSE WORK is never cumbersome hence you can go for conferences, seminars, certifications just to support your BSC.... in your SPARE TIME

4) YOU DO NOT NEED FIRST CLASS.... you only need to graduate.... why? BECAUSE this course requires SABIFICATE and NOT BSC CERTIFICATE. its a HANDS-ON course.

better learn programming on youtube ..take 2 weeks to search on what programming language you should know ,i will advice you to start with javascript....ur course is good for job opportunity, but trust me you wont be taught what is really relevant but rather what is old and irrelevant

welcome to 21st century best course. The home of the three richest people on earth right now. To be successful, learn the theory first. There are IT firms everywhere to be practical afterwards. The only problem cs students have is trying to become rich overnight. Mind you this is not Yahoo Yahoo. You have to spend time learning to be able to develop anything. So dust your mathematics text book and start-off because any problem must be put in mathematical format for computer to get it solved.

If you want to be great in this field do a lot youtube reading, find relevant new fields of computer science learn and master them, also learn a lot of maths for good grades.

Its simple and also complex. But dont forget to:
1. Use your holidays well. Make sure that the least 1month you stay at home that u learn at least 1 programming language. Or at least 1 software either graphic design or 3d modelling or animation softwares.
2. Make sure you get a good and trusty lappy before entering school at least 4gb ram with 500gb hd. It should lead u through your years.
3. Make sure that you have a basic knowledge of all programming langs that are taught in school
4. Make sure that u attend seminars, workshops, conventions etc to get more cert. For your cv.
5. Dont pray for strikes but when they come utilize them wisely. Learn more languages or perfect the ones u know.
6. Make sure to roll with fellow mates who has the zeal like you do.
7. Try to know a bit of hardware.
8. Hone up you troubleshooting skills.
9. Have lots of computer tricks and shortcuts up your sleeves.
10. Read and pass ur exams with first class.
11. Know maths at average or very well. To be continued...

12. Make youtube and google your best friends.
13. Build small apps every month to sharpen your skills.
14. Get a small printer if possible to print ebooks nepa might disappiont for a week and you can study no more.
15. Do all your test, assignments, term papers and exams. But dont use cramer's rule. Read and undastand, it pays off later.
16. Make sure you browse topics you dont understand, COMPUTER SCIENCE Is quite famous in the internet.
17. Learn how to use your OS Of choice very well. Installing win 10, 8, 7 etc Or else you are going to pay someone else 2k to do it.
18. Dont brag too much. A mech. Engine guy might humble your ass in coding.
19. Always have a scrap book to jot down ideas as they come.
20. Lastly, Aim for 1st class dont aim for 2nd class you might drop to a 3rd. And read a lot if not every computer science book you see.
