A non governmental organisation (NGO) Anneozeng Ogozi Aid Foundation has taken steps to boost the teaching and learning  of children in schools across the country.

The NGO's founder, Mrs Anneozeng Ogozi Peters, kick started the initiative at the weekend with donation of five thousand exercise books, writing materials and the offering of scholarship to ten students of  Holy Trinity Primary School in Kogi state.

Mrs Peters said the plan of her foundation is to evolve measures that will assist in providing the enabling  environment for better training of children in schools.

She described better training as the only step that will guarantees the future of the country, especially in area of providing teaching and learning materials for schools as well as giving of scholarship to the indigents children.

According to her, the choosing of Holy Trinity primary School, which is one of the oldest primary schools in the Northern part of the country was to fully kick off the school empowerment scheme.

"Holy Trinity Primary School was built in 1865, and is one of the oldest schools in the Northern part of the country, but the structures are so  dilapidated. This school produce Governors and ministers in the country.

"So, as one of our core mandates we go out to ensure that better tomorrow leaders are produced through giving of better training to the younger ones in schools. Our visit to this school will help the children have enough better teaching and learning materials" she said

Mrs Anneozeng Peters asserted that the foundation believes in supporting every child to  acquire the desired standard of education, especially those who thought they have been forgotten in the society.

The founder of Anneozeng Ogozi Aid foundation assured school children and parents of it continuous commitment to providing quality education services for all children irrespective of background and geo political zones.

She promised that the foundation was not going to relent in it commitment to reaching out to schools through provision of instructional materials that will enhanced the teaching and learning of the children, which according to her is aimed at building a better future.

On her part, the head teacher of the school, Mrs Alhassan commended the foundation for providing the instructional materials for the teaching and learning at the school.

She said the materials will be use for the purpose they were brought, pledging her. administration commitment to doing the best for the school children.
